Why a Sports Dietitian?
They’re nutrition wizards who know how to fuel your body for peak performance. These days, it's not just about hitting the gym and practicing your moves - what you eat is just as important as how you train.
That's where a sports dietitian comes in. They are experts in crafting meal plans that'll help you crush it on the field, court, or gym floor. They know how to fuel your body with the right nutrients at the right time, so you can train harder, recover faster, and perform at your best.
And they're not just all about boring old chicken and broccoli. These days, sports dietitians are getting creative with their recipes, experimenting with new ingredients and flavours to make healthy eating exciting and delicious. They know how to whip up a mean smoothie bowl, make a killer veggie burger, and even turn boring old oatmeal into a gourmet meal.
So, whether you're a weekend warrior, or a pro athlete, a Sports Dietitian is your secret weapon. They'll help you eat like a champ and crush your goals like a superstar. So what are you waiting for? It's time to fuel up and get out there!
Do you struggle with knowing what to eat?
Here is how a Sports Dietitian can help..

They will do the work to help you figure out the perfect balance of carbs, protein, and fats to fuel your body and give you the energy to perform at the highest level
Keep things fresh:
Provide you with new ideas on delicious recipes that will satisfy your taste buds and take the burden out of meal prep
Pick you up when you're down:
Dietitians will be your biggest supporter and keep you accountable, even when the scales or performance doesn’t swing your way
Demystify the bulls*t:
They know how to decipher food labels and help you make informed choices at the grocery store. No more guessing games!
Show you the right path:
Navigate you through confusing diets, fads, and trends to find what works best for you and your body.
The initial consultation is where the magic happens - this is where you get to spill the beans about your eating habits, lifestyle, and goals.
Don't worry, it's not like going to the principal's office - Dietitians are open and non-judgmental. They know that everyone's got their own unique struggles and they're here to help you overcome them.
The consultation will start off with some basic questions - like what do you like to eat, how often you exercise, and if you have any food allergies or intolerances. It's important to be honest and open, so your dietitian can get a true idea of what you’re dealing with.
Then, it's time to dive deeper. Your dietitian will ask you about your goals - do you want to improve gut health, gain muscle, lose weight or just feel better overall?
They'll also ask about your lifestyle - do you work long hours, travel often, or have any other factors that might affect your eating habits?
Based on all this info, your dietitian will create a personalised plan just for you. This will include meal ideas, nutrition tips, and strategies for staying on track.

Do I have to commit to an initial dietetic consult? It is extremely encouraged to complete an initial dietetic consult. Nutritional interventions requires coverage of in-depth questions to ensure the effectiveness of the provided plan. It is very easy to create a general meal plan for an individual, however to create it individualised to you, your goals and medical history will require answers to detailed questions and will also allow Chanise to support you through any resistance or barriers to the changes that are required to be made. This is also a great chance to goal set with Chanise and expand on reasonings behind your goals, what you have trialled in the past and your challenges and barriers along the way. Therefore, it is required for new clients to complete an initial dietetic consult so that your nutritional management is 100% individualised and best suited to you.
What do I receive in the 12-week dietetic coaching? The 12-week online dietetic coaching includes ongoing support from our dietitian, Chanise after completing the initial consult. You will receive access to a nutrition app which will include your personalised nutrition program, recipes, habit building and educational resources. What is the difference between a Nutritionist and Dietitian? All dietitians are nutritionists, but not all nutritionists are dietitians.. Whilst the definitions may be similar, there are vast differences in regulations and qualifications. As a profession, a nutritionist are not regulated and can have limited qualifications. Dietitians are government regulated, and have graduated with an approved Masters degree specialising in nutrition science and dietetics. The profession contributes to the prevention and treatment of illness through optimising the health of individuals through use of evidence-based nutrition. Specialities in sports nutrition, through undergoing additional educations allows dietitians to integrate all aspects of an individual's nutritional needs in addition to fuelling their sport, athleticism, and body composition requirements. Dietitian with an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) credential commit to ongoing training and education to stay up to date with current research. Medicare, and many private health insurances recognise the APD credential, providing you with the ability to receive health care rebates. Chanise's credentials as an APD has allowed her to further her specialisation into sports performance and receive the title as a Sports Dietitian.
